The Mister and I haven't been down to the Farmer's Market at the beach in ages.
It's been too darn hot to even think about it but on Friday night the weather was perfect for an evening stroll on the boardwalk.
There was a nice breeze coming off the water and the Bay smelled like its salty old self again. It smells like dead fish when it's hot.
The whole town takes its gardening seriously. There are blocks and blocks of flowers to admire...
...and even a new park to explore.
It didn't take The Mister long to spot the beer vendor. It was a good craft ale. He got a major buzz.
It didn't take me long to find all the crafty folk. There were spinners selling their ware....
...and knitters.
I talked the ear off the poor soap maker. I'm sure she thinks I am crazy but I did buy two bars.
I also should have bought a pumpkin and some apples...
...or some fall flowers but I didn't. I guess I just better go back next week.
What a visual/sensory delight! I love a good farmer's market and this one looks exceptional!
ReplyDeleteThat's one thing I miss about living in Beamsville... now the closest farmer's market is on Ottawa Street, which is a 20-30 minute drive depending on traffic - and since the market is in the parking lot where I normally park when go down there... so finding parking can be a bear. I should look into going buy bus, though that would take at least an hour....
ReplyDeleteYours looks way more awesome than ours too. Ours is mostly just veggies.
That popcorn looks so yummy! I don't know how you resisted!
ReplyDeleteThe MISTER had the right idea! how fun. Im glad you talked the soap guys ear off! HOw fun. Did you get corn?
ReplyDeleteThat looks like an awesome market! I love that you soap enthused with the stall owner. I mean come on! It's so cool that you are into soap making and she makes soap! The story of my life is I should've gotten the apple. Right now I want to breathe coffee like a fish in water.
