I was spinning along happily on the new little bug, when I realized I was going to have to ply these singles. I hate guessing how much to spin before starting a second bobbin for plying so I bought a scale to weigh out the fiber before spinning.

Did I remember to use it? No way.
Oh, what a pretty Ladybug red, tho!
ReplyDeleteEyeball it and then ply the last bit from a center-pull ball. That's what I do when I get too excited to measure. Heck, it's what I usually end up doing anyway when I don't spin my two singles equally despite dividing the fiber ahead of time.
