A Snail's Pace
That scarf I have on the loom is going nowhere fast.
I haven't even got to where it winds up yet. Sigh.
I think the problem is that the colors and the draft pattern are not doing it for me. The gradient blue was a mistake, I think. It's not doing what I thought it would at all. When it's done, it's probably going to look like a dye job gone bad.
At least the soap is behaving. Blackberry popped right out of the mold which is a very good thing. That top I exercised restraint on doesn't look so bad either and it smells....like blackberry jam. The whole house smells like I've been canning jam all day.
Sorry about the scarf. You can't easily rip out weaving like knitting but I do see kind of a zig-zag pattern. But the soap is a big win along with your house smelling great. That would make me hungry for real blackberry jam on some toast!
ReplyDeleteSmelling like jam will never be a bad thing.
ReplyDeleteCould you over-dye the scarf when it is done to make it something you would like better?
Knitting confounds me like that. See a pattern, love it, have perfect yarn, start it, and, "Nope."
