Making Lemonade

I've been a big old Scrooge lately and all your advice was spot on. I need to put on my big girl panties and get over it. Life is too short to let even one Christmas slip by. After all, I may have lost that cute puppy but I still I have my Boo. I brought him home a few weeks ago when I picked him up for a squeeze in a toy store and realized he was just what I needed for snuggling since...well, you know. He's got no fleas, his heart is in great shape and I don't have to put the good rugs away-what's not to love. Crazy, I suppose at my age but it's nice to know he's waiting for me at the end of the day.

Another thing making me happy is that my Cyber Monday shipment of Knit Picks Chroma is here. I love this stuff. I have never made anything with it yet but I like just having it around.

I also bought myself a new Caspian needle for two-at-a-time sock knitting. Isn't it pretty with my Wandering Cat sock yarn?

I even made a new project bag for it. I just finished the last of my gift knitting so I am casting on something for ME tonight!

Speaking of Wandering Cat Studio, the best news yet is that I won this pattern AND a skein of their sock yarn to make it with. Woo hoo....now that's something to look forward to!
The pattern is Elm Street and you can buy it here.

  1. Love the new Caspian needles too. And Boo is certainly the next best thing right now until you find a real one. Maybe Santa will bring you a real live little friend for Boo. Who needs rugs anyway?! Congrats on the pattern and sock yarn win!

  4. Ooooooo, this whole post made drool with envy. You're a winner and all those beautiful balls of yarn! My goal is to learn to knit 2 at a time socks next year. I can't wait to see how yours turn out. And that stuffie? I saw him on Amazon and had to refrain from purchasing it, because I would be reprimanded for MORE stuffed animals. so cute and cuddly looking. Happy Weekend!
