What's the Point?
I should be saying where's the points because look what I found in the dryer yesterday. Recognize what it used to be?
How about now? It seems that in the midst of my pooling conniption fit, I left one of my Size 1 double points on the couch and it got wrapped up in Pup's blankie and went through the wash. Poor broken thing. I suppose I should be happy no one was injured.
Things didn't get too much better than that yesterday. I spent some time in the sewing room and ruined my latest knot bag. Can you see what I did wrong? I cut the fabric in the wrong direction. The critters and trees are upside down. Epic fail.
I scrapped the bag until I get some replacement fabric and instead worked on another little dress for Taylor Barbie using some tricks I've learned like how to line the pieces with tulle to avoid facings and hems. It worked very well.
This is a simple dress but the best one I've made so far technique wise. It looks good inside and out unlike some of the others I've attempted.
At least the dpn wasn't through Pup's foot or someone else's!
ReplyDeleteOooh, sorry about the needle. That's not fun. The dress is really pretty though and I'll be the bag would looks just fine.
