Coming to the End

I was having such a good time working on my latest dishtowel that I didn't notice.....

....this. It means the end of the line. The towel is almost done. That in itself is not the problem. The problem is....

....that I hadn't started warping anything new. I don't like the loom sitting empty since it takes up a big part of my living area. I like it to always look like I'm working on something even if that something has been taking me months to finish.

That didn't happen with this towel so I had to dig around in the stash and find some fall colors. I had decided a while back that I wanted a towel just like the one I'm working on only in an autumn colorway. I think this works.

And...since we had an entire day without rain, we got to use the new Blackstone for the first time. I put The Mister to work on some vegetables I wanted to add to a frittata for me. When they were done he put on some Italian sausage and peppers for his dinner. It kept him entertained for quite a long while. Considering the mess, it was also a pretty easy cleanup. I'm calling this a win. Money well spent.

  2. I need to get going on my loom again--it is hard to get motivated-your beautiful weaving is inspiring! My guy just bought a smoker--I hate smoked meat so he is going to have to get creative to find recipes I can tolerate! lol

  6. Those fall colors are perfect. We love our Blackstone. We leave for a two week camping trip on Wednesday with another couple to a graduation in Kentucky and have planned a lot of our meals using our Blackstone. It makes clean up with camping so much easier.
