Wednesday WIPs

The Static twins are done. It's too bad they have a bad join on the bottom of one foot due to that nasty yarn issue because now they can't go in the gift box. I'll have to keep them for myself which is not a problem since it turns out I like them after all. I wasn't so sure at first.

The other socks are at various stages. The Two on One Needle Regias are ready for a heel turn. Miss Babs is having hers done as we speak. There's no need to match Miss Babs so I always knit them one at a time.

The Cozy Quilt sock needs one more pattern repeat before I am supposed to start the heel. The jury is out on that. I might make it a bit longer. I've got plenty of yarn. The other colorwork project, Kelly's Ski Sweater has entered the lice stage. That means I've got a lot of ticky tacky repetitive patterning to do on the body before I get up to the fun part at the top. It will make a good travel project now because it's sooooo boring.

The Mister knocked those tricky tile cuts out of the ball park yesterday. I was very impressed. I thought for sure I would end up having to call an ambulance. There won't be any bathroom work tomorrow because he's going out to lunch with a former co-worker. That means another day for me. Woo hoo...

And...we did our second cook on the Blackstone last night. We had a tofu stir fry for me and a chicken one for him and Pup. I was amazed at how well it handled the fragile tofu. I've never gotten it to not stick on anything on the stove. I usually air fry it which makes it a bit dry. It was complete chaos while all this was happening but it all turned out pretty darn good.

  1. It sounds like a great day - finished socks, lots of progress on wips, wonderful tile cutting and a delicious dinner to finish. I am quite impressed by the round cut in the tile and wish I was around for some of that stir fry.

  6. Lots of good stuff here. Love the socks, both the finished ones and the in progress ones. The Cozy Quilt socks are beautiful.
Good for The Mister in getting those cuts done, I know it's not for the faint-hearted.
We're driving downt he interstate in Iowa, heading for Finger Lakes, MO. We'll be there two nights. Who would have thought I could plug my laptop into the truck as we drive? I may be able to keep up after all!
    Blessings and hugs,
    Betsy

  8. Good thing you like the socks and they have an "issue" so you get to keep them. The Blackstone looks lovely and yeah for getting the cuts correct.
