Pool Side

I wish I was sitting under an umbrella at the pool sipping a margarita but I'm not. I'm hiding from the heat in the AC fighting with this sock. I had a conniption fit last night when it began to pool. Miss Babs is usually very good about not pooling but this colorway apparently didn't get the message. I re-knit that area a couple of times using bigger and then smaller needles with no success. I was tempted to rip that heel out and do an afterthought heel but chickened out.

I've been talking myself out of my worst urges by reminding myself that I once knit these and liked them. It's Hawthorne btw and you couldn't get more insane pooling if you tried.

I haven't actually had too much time to come to a decision on the pooling situation because we've been doing this. The bathroom tile is down. Hallelujah. We still need to grout it but the heavy lifting is done. And by heavy, I mean HEAVY. That tile nearly did The Mister and me in. We both had ouchy backs yesterday from it.

  1. Yay on the tile! I made my peace with pooling years ago, but now tend to avoid those yarns if I can!

  4. Congratulations on the tile! It looks like a job well done. Now you can deal with pooling (or not).

  6. I try to make friends with pooling. The things that should fix it rarely works! The new flooring is looking good!

  8. I wonder if you changed to a different type of heel if it would do the same thing.
