Gobble, Gobble....Mr. Turkey is out and about again. I've got a lot of background to do on this one too it seems. Let's see how far I get this month.
Inktober 2024 is now in the books. I did do about 20 of the prompts. I found a lot of them redundant so I combined them into one sketch. I did get them watercolored while watching Hocus Pocus yesterday.
As soon as I was done, I turned that part of the work table into a Christmas card assembly line in hopes of getting The Mister interested in helping get those gnomes colored.
Speaking of Christmas cards, the blue backing paper for the cards is here. I added this bookmark die to the cart. Does anyone use bookmarks anymore or we all on Kindles? Asking for a friend.
The new month has also given me a monster case of startitis. I've got everything ready to go to get this Book Club cardi by Sari Nordlund on the needles.
I'm waiting for the yarn to show up to start these Cozy Quilt socks by Natalie Sheldon. I was tempted to do Arne and Carlos's Christmas stocking KAL again this year and then remembered I hated doing it toe up with them. I could not figure out the heel. It starts today but I'll wait until the whole pattern comes out at the end of the month and if I like it, I'll reverse it and knit it in December. In the meantime, I'll knit along with them using this pattern instead-if my yarn gets here.
Hello again Mr. Turkey. I wonder if his surrounding will be finished this year? That cardi is really cute, although I would probably add a few inches to the length to make sure my er' tummy, is covered well. I use bookmarks all of the time. I have several in my Bible and in three books that I'm currently reading.

You've got some beautiful making for this month; that turkey is magnificent! The cardigan is almost exactly what I've been looking for, so I'm going to take a closer look when I'm done here. I was thinking about knitting a sweater when it was 60 but gave up the search when the temp reached 85 for a few days. Maybe Saturday it will cool down again.
ReplyDeleteYum for those donuts!! Love your turkey - hope you can get lots done.
ReplyDeleteThe new sweater is such a knitter's delight--what fun! The new socks are just right for the joy of colorwork for someone who quilts! Spot on!
ReplyDeleteI watched Hocus Pocus last night. It’s still fun after seeing it many times.
ReplyDeleteThat's a fun turkey! You sure have lots of projects going, and I love that sweater pattern.
ReplyDeleteI am totally loving that cardigan. I want to eat it up, it is so delicious!
ReplyDeleteI am a diehard physical book person - but sadly, I don't use book marks. I have lots, and I should use them, but I always just plop my book face down, open the the last page I was on. I'm a bad book nerd.
ReplyDeleteI love seeing Mr. Turkey come back out again! I do use bookmarks, but I make mine from faux leather on my Cricut machine. I was trained early in the use of bookmarks by my late mother who was a school ibrarian.
