Stabby
I'm still on a steep learning curve for this needle punch thing. This is the back. It is the side you work from.
This is the front. My cup is a little wonky compared to the photo I had to print out. The kit didn't come with a photo and I couldn't remember what color goes where. My poor little cup is pretty sad but I'm not giving up. I bought a lot of this material so I can try it again as many times as I need until I get it right.
The tutorial I am using suggested muslin material and Brava sport yarn from Knit Picks. I had a box of Brava in neutral colors and browns and then bought some brighter colors for the cup. If you need to get some frustration out this is the project for you. Stabbing that material over and over feels really good.
I think I tried the needle punching once, just could not get the hang of the thing. Decided maybe I already had enough hobbies at that point:)
ReplyDeleteThat seems like a way to literally put your stabby feelings to use!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a fun project but I think it would be hard to do since you can't see the front while you're working on it. I think yours looks great though. A little wonky is good. Aren't we all a little wonky in our own ways?

That's a very interesting process!
ReplyDeleteI can't decide whether I want to try this or not. I'm kind of leaning toward not.
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to be a beginner when you are so proficient in other arenas! Glad you are sticking with it!
