Shredded
I'm still chugging away on the crazy quilt. It's doing a number on my rotary cutter so I thought I would invest in a new blade.
The new blade was not working very well but I didn't realize what I had done until I tried to cut some thin wool strips for the turkey rug. Instead of cutting, the wool was being shredded. Upon inspection I discovered I had inserted TWO blades. They are always stuck together in the package so it's easy to do. I have actually done this before so you'd think I'd be more careful. Nope.
And.....fall has finally fallen here on the western shore of the Chesapeake. I am happy to say our heat wave is over. I had the AC on Friday. Now the heat. It's been a crazy fall. I hope it sticks around for a while this time.
Oops! I've done that before too. Not fun when you destroy precious fabric that you aren't sure you have enough for to begin with. :-)
ReplyDeleteIt's thundering and lightening and pouring down rain right now.
Blessings,
Betsy
That quilt looks really nice! And you may not be done with the AC yet. It's supposed to be in the upper 70s here tomorrow and then 80 on Wednesday and Thursday. (I am not in favor of 80 degrees in November.)
ReplyDeleteI have a hard time separating those blades but now I know what it does if I miss doing that!!!! The crazy quilt blocks are striking! Yay for Fall!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous trees. We are chilly here too, but it is warming up and should be in the 70's by mid-week!
ReplyDeleteAren't Fall colors spectacular? Even if they arrive late.
ReplyDelete"Nope" seems to be the Life Word for a lot of people right now.
Happy (I hope) fall!
