I made a VERY big mistake on the 1st. I watched the first of the daily Arne and Carlos Mystery Christmas KAL videos and I was hooked. I love their little daily holiday chit chats so out went all the plans I had just made for the month. I started a Christmas stocking instead. Only it didn't go so well. I wanted to do cuff down so I thought I could just reverse the daily toe up clues but that didn't work. Off to the frog pond it went.
So I decided to use their pattern from last year"s KAL and re-knit it instead.
I hated the colors I had chosen for this one and had wanted to re-do it in gray and maroon anyway, so I did.
And....speaking of Christmas, look who was waiting for us on our morning stroll with Pup. The town is getting ready. Lights are going up everywhere. I just wish they put as much energy in their election planning. We stood in line for over 2 hours to vote in our local election yesterday. We have a drop box right in front of town hall but could we use it? No. They crowded what seemed like the whole town in a teeny tiny gym and made us jump through a ridiculous amount of hoops before we were even handed a ballot. I hope the new town administration does a better job at planning these things. The voters were NOT happy.
Ooh, I love the colors you chose for the socks this year better too, although the others are nice too. Decorations are up everywhere, I've finished Christmas shopping and now have to get busy wrapping. We celebrate Christmas the day after Thanksgiving with our London kids every year so I have to be done a month before everyone else!

The gray, maroon, and white are really lovely and will make a beautiful stocking. I'm sorry your town didn't have their act together. This voter isn't very happy but that's because of the results.
ReplyDeleteI like both sets of colours on the stockings!
