Tiny Needle Tuesday
My turkey's little world is starting to fill in. I've got a lot of corn stalks to stitch.
Woo hoo....all that fill stitching is done on Peter Rabbit. Now I have to do the back stitching and that has me worried. I'm pretty bad at it and it's a pretty important part of bringing him to life.
I've made two more paper pieced blocks and finished another Dear Jane from row D. It was a pretty straight forward block and I'll admit that I almost enjoyed working on it. Almost. I always like these blocks better when they are done. They are pretty tedious.
The turkeys are wonderful! Hang in there on the backstitching.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with Peter's back stitching - you can do it!
ReplyDeletePeter looks great!! I'm not fond of backstitching (I find it boring and tedious), but it does make a difference. Good luck with it.
ReplyDeleteYou've turned a corner on the stitching--they are really coming to life! The hand pieced blocks are perfection!!!
ReplyDeleteOH THOSE TURKEYS! And still love PtR.
ReplyDeleteThe paper piecing blocks are so pretty and the cross-stitching is really coming along. That's a lot of fill in stitches on Peter. It is amazing though, what a difference backstitching makes. I always think that maybe I'll skip it and never do. And then I'm always glad because it makes the piece come alive.
ReplyDeleteBlessings and hugs,
Betsy
Why is it we all seem to dislike the backstitching. On my current piece I am making myself so a little bit each week or honestly it would never be done. I love the turkey and cornstalks.
ReplyDeleteYou are going to rock that outlining on Peter Rabbit - don't sweat it!
