Mission Accomplished

We did indeed get up early yesterday to get the rest of those cement boards cut before it became too hot. Yay. It went up to the mid 80's with severe thunderstorm warnings so it was a good call.

If you are wondering about the get up this is why. It's ridiculously messy. You also don't want to breathe that cement dust or get it in your eyes.

While we were working outside we heard that familiar crack and splat that means our trees were being naughty again. This big limb came down jsut outside the shed right where The Mister usually tinkers with the mower. See that hole at my feet? That would have been his head. Just when I start feeling bad about cutting them down, they do stuff like this.

Getting our work out of the way early gave me some time to play with the loom in the afternoon. I finally got that towel started and I like it more than I thought I would.

The pattern is very pretty and the treadling sequence is very easy. I might think about warping another one in fall colors.

And....meet Gus, my new Grandpuppy. He belongs to the two Big Grands. I was kind of suspicious from the pictures they've sent that he's too darn cute to be real but according to Son he's all puppy. He's a Bernedoodle btw. I kept googling Bernie Doodle and coming up with lots of Bernie Sanders memes....lol.

  1. Way to go getting that dusty job done early! Those masks come in handy for other things now. That towel is gorgeous - both the colors and the pattern. And Bernie Doodle is adorable!

  3. Yikes on the tree branch. I'm glad you got your work done early because that towel is gorgeous and it would have been a pity if you didn't have time to play with it.
That looks like a stuffed puppy. He's adorable. I would have loved a furbaby like that.
    Blessings and hugs,
