Stay Calm and Knit On

The Nermil....whatever shawl is on its first lace panel.

The Gahzal Cowl has been spun for.

 Now to cast it on.

My chain plying is always wonky but experience tells me it will look fine once it is knit. I love the colors.

I am in limbo with the Featherweight. I can't decide how wide I want the front bands. You don't button it. It hangs open. On the original the bands are quite wide but I'm not sure that that's the look I am going for. Decisions, decisions.  At least it keeps my mind off other things. I made the mistake of looking at the news last night and it didn't make me feel any better.

  1. Love your knits!
For us here there is no good news on TV for the last 2 years and with your news combined nothing good in the near future. Since summer I am trying to replace tv with floss-tube and dvd movies/documentaries. Helps a bit.

  2. DO't look. I made the mistake of seeing the news online, oops now I am scared to death Little Buddy will not get the services he needs in the future. It is already a fight to keep him in the Medicaid program he is in. I think I need to plan a new project.

    1. What totally blows me away is that the only people I know that voted for Trump were deadbeat relatives that have always taken advantage of all the social services, Planned Parenthood included, that he claims to want to get rid of. They even lost their home during Bush's subprime loan fiasco and now live in subsidized housing. When questioned about his policies they say they are not worried because congress will stop him. WHY vote for someone that needs congressional control in the first place? I know why. He was a WHITE MAN.

  3. I haven't listened to the news in weeks. Turned it on long enough to find out the results and have been in shock ever since.I am scared to death for my children, grandchilren, nieces and nephews. Sewing and knitting have been keeling me from going off the deep end. This is going to be a scary place for years to come.

    1. I have half Asian grandchildren and I've been reading all these reports from the Asian community about attacks from Trump supporters telling them Trump Nation is a white nation and to go home. This is THEIR home dammit but this certainly isn't the USA I recognize any longer. I am terrified for them.

  6. I'm trying to stay calm and knit but so far not having much luck. I think you're doing a better job of it than me. I seem to be doing a lot of frogging.
