Weaving in Reverse

 I thought I had it all under control and then disaster struck.



I thought it was looking pretty good-and then I saw it.




 There was an ugly scar running up the towel.



 Argh.....I had four ends in one slot. I've never done that before.





 The only way to fix it was to unweave it all, untie it all and rethread it through the heddle. Ugh...untying all those tight knots was no fun until I thought to carefully use a knitting needle to help loosen them.



 It took hours but it's finally ready to be tied on again. I worked on it after getting up at 5 am. I had been thinking all night about whether I should just ignore the boo boo and move on. I couldn't do it. It would make me crazy every time I looked at it so as painful as it was, it had to be done.



Speaking of boo boos. You know I had to pull that mini quilt apart and fix it too, right?



I added a few rows at the bottom and now it looks much better on the little stand. I'll be glad next Halloween I took the time to do it right.

    I cannot ignore boo-boos either. They would bug me day and night. Your towel colours are lovely!

    I would say you didn't NEED to do either fix but I know if it bugged me, I would do the very same thing! Good for you! I do not work for the best crafter of the year awards but I do have my own standards that must be attained. Create well.

    I would have told you that those little boo boos didn't matter, but if I was truthful, I probably would have done the exact same thing! LOL

    I do love the colors in that quilt! They are PERFECT fall colors.

    Normally I'm the same way but I can hang around in denial mode a bit longer than you do before fixing things. I'm not sure I could have untied all those knots though! Yikes!

    I do the same thing with knitting and crochet projects and it drives my hubby crazy. He says no one notices the boo-boos but me. I had not even noticed your boo-boo on your weaving until you pointed it out. But, like you, I probably would've tore the whole thing out and redone it. At least now it's done and you can move on.

    I swear it would have been cut off the loom and tossed in the trash if it was me, but of course I probably would have just kept going and hoped no one notices.
