October

I barely made getting September done in September but I did. Those white letters on the chalkboard were NO fun.

For the next 31 days I've got pumpkins to finish.

This year is flying by. I have to roll it up now so I can get to the last row. I can't wait to start something new.

Speaking of something new, this is not. This is my Rhinebeck sweater from at least 3 Rhinebecks ago that never got done. I take it out every October.

I just might get it done this year but I'm not going to Rhinebeck even if I do.

I am finally on the button bands. My Jennie the Potter buttons have been waiting a long time.

On the last day of September I blocked Son's gray cardi. I still have the front bands to do but I needed to see if I could get a bit more length out of those sleeves before I carried on.

I've also drug out the shawl I've been working on every fall since 2008. This may be it's year-or not.

I've also started something new. Meet Nurmilintu.

I had that pretty Wandering Cat handspun in the bin from the fiber she gifted me last fall that needed a project and this was a match made in heaven.

What I need to do is go get the rug hooking project I started last year and at least get a few rows on it this month. This is a great month for starting new things and rekindling old romances. I love October.

  2. Your October is rich on nice projects. Thanks for reminding that I need to dig out my rug hooking to make some progress.

  5. Your Rhinebeck sweater is a beauty, just like all of your projects. I am trying to find the time to knit my Harvest sweater but time is a precious commodity I deem to be lacking these days.

  7. Nurmilintu is on my list, too! Let me know how it goes, OK? Don't feel bad about old projects; right now I'm working on something I started in 1989 (last century?!) and I think both the yarn and shop are history. Sure hope I have enough yarn to finish it! Let's hear it for UFOS or is it WIPS?
