The coffee's mugshot was taken in the soap room which is back in full production mode.
There are already two new holiday scents curing.
There is also one in the box incubating. It hasn't been easy keeping it warm with this pleasant chill in the air. You don't have to keep it warm, it will still do its thing. It just won't be as hard a bar which is fine by me because it means you use them up faster.
The holiday scents are all from Brambleberry and I love them. After I made that last batch I took a closer look at the labels and realized there is lots of helpful information on them. I learned with this last soap that even though there is no vanilla in it, it will discolor to tan. Darn. I wish I had seen that sooner because my Fresh Snow will look a little polluted I'm afraid. I would have done the colors differently if I had known. Next time. Next year.
With the soaping done, I climbed on the couch this afternoon to get some mileage done on the Pumpkin Cardi to happily discover I have sunshine coming through the big window again. Now I can see what I'm doing for a few hours anyway. All I have are two rows on the front bands and this project's a done deal-minus all the loose ends and the buttons, of course.
I just have the loose ends and the buttons to deal with on the Big Gray Cardi also. Wow. This week I'll have TWO FOs to brag about. That never happens. I never finish anything. Go me.
That soap in the box is gorgeous. It reminds me of the movie "Frozen". TWO sweaters? You are on a roll!

ReplyDeleteTwo FO's are really something to be happy about and so is sun through the window. Here in NJ it's been off and on sunshine and I've finally been able to open the windows to air out the house. I love reading about your soap-making because it's something I have no knowledge about. I do know that I'm loving your Witch's Brew soap!

ReplyDeleteNice work on the sweater! I have a sweater all done but the sewing part and have been procrastinating royally. LOVE that new soap; every batch seems to be prettier than the last one!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see the finished sweaters.
ReplyDeleteI'm only a few inches from finishing mine, but I can't seem to find any time!
