Mellow Yellow

It was a real effort to get this project on the needles. I was all thumbs. That circular cast on is a bear with this weight of yarn.

Trying to wrangle that crazy cast on and those doublepoints was more than I could take. It went onto a circular as soon as I could manage it. It's going to look pretty bad from here on out. Pi shawls look like string bags while you are knitting them. You have to have faith that they will work out because you can't really see what's going on. It's definitely a Keep Calm and Knit On type of project.

  3. Why do all the really beautiful things have to be so complicated? I love Pi shawls, but now that you've told me they are trouble, I'll be NOT knitting them! Thanks for sparing me the angst!

    1. Get someone to cast on for you! It's easy peasy pi after that!

  5. I know what you mean about that kind of cast on; that's why I don't enjoy knitting toe up socks. Did you spin that pretty yarn?
