Goal!

In spite of the heat that has stolen my knitting mojo, these socks are just a couple more World Cup games away from the big finish.

The round of 16 has been so exciting I can barely look away. Those ladies know how to play. No flopping around on the ground for them. Just wrap their bloody heads up with some gauze and off they go back onto the field to kick some more a**. Amazeballs.

  1. Wow, great job on the socks! It is my favorite knitting project...socks and shawls.
Do you remember what yarn the orange socks are?!

  2. I used to prefer to watch men's soccer over women's. Now I appreciate the lack of dives and falls, except for the latin american teams that still try it. Oh well, they are gone and maybe the remaining games will be just as exciting!

  5. Get out of my head! I was just having this conversation with a coworker in the elevator this morning. i said, these women go hard ... and they keep going. There is not so much individual ego involved as much as a team bravado. Amazeballs, indeed. I take it we will both be transfixed today and tomorrow!
