Let the Games Begin!
My Olympic spin got underway yesterday while I was watching the Opening Ceremony.
I didn't get very far because this particular fiber put up a real fight. It's a very old braid and it's going to take a lot of pre-drafting to get it into spinning condition and I didn't have the patience for it yesterday.
I was still in recovery mode from my latest Grand sitting adventure and was more interested in knitting and watching this than fighting with fiber. I love the opening and closing ceremonies and watched the live stream all day which included a lot of weird behind the scenes craziness in the morning.
It was also another Happy Taylor Swift day as she premiered her latest music video yesterday morning. She also popped up in the Opening Ceremony wishing all the athletes good luck.
And here we come. Love the hats....
..but I'm going to put this in the category of "if you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything" but I will say there's an awful lot going on there.
It was a long wait to get to the big finish....
...but it was worth it. Ben fatto, Italia!
I didn't watch any of it , so thank you for sharing those gold rings with fire and the big finish!
ReplyDeleteI haven't watched the Olympics in years - but it was always and exciting time when we were in school!
ReplyDeleteI keep seeing a reel of a member of the Canadian ski team who brought his knitting. I think Knit Picks posted it.
ReplyDeleteSeeing all the knits would be fun but I'm not a fan of watching the Olympics!
ReplyDeleteThe hats are fun and would work up in other color schemes. My local LYS had kits available but I passed. I tend to pre draft my spinning fiber which probably leaves me in the beginner spinning category. The colors in the fiber are pretty so I hope eventually it works out for you.
