Old Dog, New Tricks

It's been a crazy week. First it was the unexpected two kid sitting adventures and then it was the weather. In between the madness I still had soap to get wrapped and mailed. It's my favorite part of the process but I had to do a rush job to beat the weather.

SoxieKnitter recommended Pirate Ship which took me a while to figure out but made it all so much easier. Instead of multiple trips to the post office, I could click a few buttons and drop it off. It's so cool I didn't want it to end.

Betty also taught me a new trick. I made a giant jar of starter and turned it into...

...a pile of pumpkin/blueberry waffles. I might not like sourdough bread but these I can eat.

Canadian Soap Friends: For the first time ever I got asked about tariffs and taxes on those two measly bars of soap. I didn't know how to answer the questions other than say they were just gifts. No money was changing hands. I apologize in advance if this ends up costing you anything. The post office clerk hadn't seen those questions before either and was of no help in deciding what box to check. I have read online that you can refuse delivery and have it sent back to me making me responsible for any payments. Again, I'm sorry. Like so many others have discovered recently, sending things between countries has been made near impossible. What a shame.
