September

We made it. The dog days of summer are officially over. The AC is off for now and the windows are open but instead of being invigorated by the cooler temps I spent yesterday exhausted. We had a big family to do on Saturday at Little Sister's house and it did me in. I'm by nature a quiet person but get me in a group of familiar faces and I can't shut up.

I needed a diversion from the same old, same old so I spent some time in the downstairs craft room working on my paper quilt blocks by cutting and pasting all those faux fabric pieces I had watercolored and stamped a while ago. Other than that, it was a day for hot tea, audio books and not getting out of my pj's. I hope today is better.

  1. A big family gathering that I was grudgingly going to attend on Saturday got cancelled due to covid. While I'm not happy for the family that has it, I was thrilled not to have to go. I hope you can enjoy today!

  2. Our mornings and evenings are cool - but our days are still pretty hot. At least hot enough Dave won't let me turn the AC off and open the windows. Of course, I overheat so easily these days, I can't really complain.

  3. Blogger is letting me comment today so I definitely wanted to stop and say hello. To say I'm frustrated with it would be an understatement for sure.
We're cooler today too and it's been raining for three days. We're supposed to head out camping this afternoon and I"m not looking forward to setting up in the rain.
Take care my dear friend. I'm be back as the computer lets me communicate.
    Blessings and hugs,
    Betsy
