Tiny Needle Uh, Oh...

My tiny needle adventure didn't go so good this week. It started with a lot of ripping. I don't mind fudging a stitch or two when I goof up but borders have to meet. It's pretty non-negotiable.

I managed to get it all put back and have a new squirrel and bunny under the tree to show for it. I'm putting it in time out for the week not because it is naughty but because I am waiting for a new scroll frame to stretch it on. The Q snap was annoying me. I hate having to take it in and out every time I want to work on it.

I would have made it half way across the lawn on the Needles and Pins sampler if it wasn't for my weekend headache. I missed a lot of good football stitching time on Sunday.

Before my head exploded I finished another block on Dad's Nine Patch. It's finally starting to look like I am getting somewhere. You can see what I've done when the light hits it right. If not it just looks like a sea of puckers.

  1. That's so frustraating. I've done the same with borders. The little squirrel and bunny are really cute though. I think you're making great progress on your quilt. It's great!
How is your headache? better I hope? I've had a nagging one today but mine is from the smoke. Runny nose and itchy eyes too. It's all part of it.

  2. I like your quilting. Looks like it would be soothing to do. Your stitching is coming along nicely. Borders can be tough! Interesting how many samplers have squirrels and bunnies in them.

  5. Yikes, scissors make me uneasy around tiny stitching. Love the bunnies on both samplers.

  6. Both of your samplers are going to be beautiful! I love the design you are using for your quilting. That would be a happy quilt to work on with all those bright colors.
