For over a year I've been carefully dusting and vacuuming around a project I have stashed in the bottom of my new Ikea closet organizer.
Remember this? It's the Mosaic Sampler afghan that I've been working on since 2010.
It's even bigger than that photo. I added a navy blue border around it two years ago and had only 14 rows on one of the long sides to do when I abandoned it yet again.
If I can't take the time to finish it during a gosh darn pandemic when do I think I will ever finish it? I made myself sit right there on the closet floor and work on it yesterday. 14 rows is all I need to do. One long, very long, row a day.
I'm not even packing it up. I am leaving it out so I won't just start dusting around it again. I will have it finished in 2020. Ten years is long enough.
You can do it! The blanket is so beautiful that when it's finished you'll wonder why it took so long.
ReplyDeleteTake care and stay safe.

I remember this afghan absolutely! It is a beauty and I think this is a good time to finish it up! YOU CAN DO THIS!
ReplyDeleteI remember this one too. BEAUTIFUL!!! You will be so pleased when it is finished.
ReplyDeleteYou can do it!
ReplyDeleteWow, it’s amazing! Yes, 2020 is definitely its year to be completed.
ReplyDeleteKeep going! It is so pretty!
ReplyDeleteIt is beautiful and you need it complete before winter. I also remember this project and love the one row a day approach to finishing. In only two weeks, it will be complete.
ReplyDeleteI certainly remember this project because it is drop-dead gorgeous. You must be making up the pattern because I can't find it on Ravelry. That makes it even more amazing.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful project! You can do it...one row a day:)
