A long time ago I bought these 5 inch doublepoints and I am not sure why.
They are so small.
I took them with me to Disney so I could get them through security but I discovered I like them. They don't really feel any different to me than the 6 inch needles that I normally use. Who knew?
I have four skeins of this gray fingering weight yarn from Drops of Norway left over from Son's cardi so I see socks. Lots of men socks. The sweater might not fit but some socks just might.

I like the way you think! Lots of socks is too fun. I like the shorter needles; in fact, I tried the 4" ones-think tooth picks. But they were better than the long ones that catch everywhere! lol
ReplyDeleteThose smaller needles are nice for knitting the fingers on gloves too. I wish I could find even smaller ones than that.
ReplyDeleteI love using the shorter needles.
ReplyDeleteMan socks sound like a great use of the extra yarn. :-)
Ha... I've got a hat and gloves planned for the leftover yarn from my brother's Sandpoint.
ReplyDeleteme too!!! I've got to have longer double points
ReplyDeleteI have both long and short ones. I like the short ones and I surprisingly break those less. Don't get me wrong, there isn't a dpn i'm going to kick out of the notions basket, but I have been gravitating towards the shorties these days. You are what you knit with?
