Almost May

If you look over to the right on my sidebar, you will see just how close we are to the first weekend in May. On that weekend I always wear a shawl made from the handspun I picked up at last year's MDSW because that is the weekend that I am at this year's MDSW.

For nine months I have been faithfully spinning that fiber on my little Golding spindle since the car ride home from last year's fest.

I've collected enough to start plying but I doubt I have enough for the pattern I've chosen for this year.

I think I am going to cheat and try to spin some fine yarn with the wheel in case I run out. I suppose that's not really cheating. It's all handspun but it sure feels like cheating.

  3. I don't think it's cheating - as I've recently discovered - wheel spinning is tough!
