World's Oldest UFO

 I found this orphan mitt in the stash. I cast on a second from what I believe was the original pattern. My thumb gusset on the original is a bit odd. I think I might have been making it up as I went along.


It was made out of an early spinning experiment. I think that's Jacob and it might be from the first fleece I washed and practically ruined back in 2008.


What I was really interested in was the scrap of yarn I found in the bottom of the ancient project bag. I'd love to have more of this wonky stuff. I wonder where it came from.

    I've got one of those - but it's a stuffed toy of Beaker from the muppets I was making for Dave.... I really do need to finish it one of these days...

    I'm amazed you found the instruction and yarn to make the second one! Yippee. That variegated yarn is wonderful-I LOVE color, too.
