Almost May

If you look over to the right on my sidebar, you will see just how close we are to the first weekend in May. On that weekend I always wear a shawl made from the handspun I picked up at last year's MDSW because that is the weekend that I am at this year's MDSW.

For nine months I have been faithfully spinning that fiber on my little Golding spindle since the car ride home from last year's fest.

I've collected enough to start plying but I doubt I have enough for the pattern I've chosen for this year.

I think I am going to cheat and try to spin some fine yarn with the wheel in case I run out. I suppose that's not really cheating. It's all handspun but it sure feels like cheating.

  1. No way is it cheating!!! Love the color and pattern you have chosen! Start plying and knitting!

  2. I don't think it's cheating - as I've recently discovered - wheel spinning is tough!
