Charmed Stars has been sitting here staring at me for weeks now. It's been all set up and ready to go on the dining room table but I just kept walking right past it pretending I didn't see it. Until yesterday. I finally got around to sewing on that binding.

Planes, Trains and Automobiles
Now that the trim is mostly down, we are spending our days putting everything back where it belongs. The Mister not only has a collection of albums that has to be dealt with, he also has two bookcases of models that he's made over the years.
I really don't understand why he doesn't use super glue on them instead of model glue which I think leaves a lot to be desired.

Friday Fluff
Silly me. I thought I had three empty spinning wheels sitting here waiting for some new projects when what I actually had were those spindle spun singles that needed plying. I'd forgotten all about them. I spend a few minutes with them each morning as I watch the ladies ride through France.
A new project is going to be these merino nests. I need a couple more skeins of that wonky stuff I spun before to make it a knit worthy amount. I think I'll spin this on the Ashford Traditional this time around instead of the Ladybug. It will be interesting to see the difference. It can't be worse.

Take a Hike
After weeks of 90 degree temperatures, a week in the 80's is a big relief. It's time to open some windows and get outside for a bit.

Wednesday WIPs
I'm coming down the buttonhole side of the front band on one of the gray blobs. I bought this doo hickey to help me space the holes evenly since I'm pretty bad at it. I hope it works.

Tiny Needle Tuesday
The second border is finished on the Autumn Patchwork. That branch didn't stand a chance this week. I used a Post it to mark my rows.
I only got one Dear Jane blocks finished. I've got the pieces ready for another but not the will to sew them on.

A Little Static
I made the mistake of looking at yarn the other night and somehow these two jumped in my cart. The fault lies with Lasagna Cat on the left. How could you NOT buy a yarn called Lasagna Cat? It could be my fall sock knit but I know I won't be done with the twins by them. The other one is Gummiberry. Who doesn't love a good gummi?
And....today is going to be a very quiet day around here. First it was the TdF keeping me and The Mister company for three weeks while we worked away on our downstairs projects. Then it was the Olympics. All day. Every day. Now I'm sad.
The closing ceremony always gives me all the feels. Merci Paris, bien joué. I loved every minute.
