On the Move
Look who's out and about. The Mister's therapist said it was okay to take a brief walk around beach yesterday if he used his walker-no cane and took it slow and easy. His last day of in-house therapy is Friday. Next Wednesday he starts outpatient therapy at a nearby rehab facility.
I'll be doing a happy dance when we are through with the visiting therapists. They are all very nice but I've been wearing myself out trying to keep the house clean and tidy for their visits. It's hard to be clean and tidy when the whole lot of us are camped out in the living room all day.
I
t did The Mister good to get out. We walked around the koi pond that's across from the boardwalk. That little bit of exercise really wore him out. He spent the rest of the afternoon on the couch with an ice pack. Pushing that walker is a lot more work than you think it is especially on rough and uneven surfaces.
He took a quick peek at the bay. He's looking forward to June 12th when hopefully these extreme restrictions are lifted. Until then he's just got to take it easy which is something that does not come naturally for either of us.
Fresh Air is the BEST medicine. YAY for getting out!!
ReplyDeleteKudos to the Mister for progressing to this stage in his therapy!
ReplyDeleteI bet it was nice to get out and get from fresh air. Sitting still is not easy, that's for sure!
ReplyDeleteHurrah! You got to go out, and it was also a beautiful day. Hope the healing continues rapidly.
ReplyDeleteHooray! The outing had to do you both good even if it is far from normal yet. But progress is happening!
