Ta da....Musselburgh is done.
I followed the directions and knit it to 18 1/2 inches before decreasing but it didn't do what the photo on the pattern shows.
Ysolda's has a nice deep brim. I wanted that look but didn't get it.
If I roll the brim I get a little beanie. I was out of yarn anyway so it is what it is. At least it fits. My first try was huge. This one is perfect. The yarn is also a win. It's Capretta in a special reserve 100 gram Woodstock colorway. It has cashmere in it and is is soft as you can imagine.
What a lovely finish!!
ReplyDeleteGreat job!
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love Capretta! Your hat is beautiful even if it isn't as long as you'd hoped.
ReplyDeleteA smaller brim is pretty, too! Nice job on the finish!
