Almost Normal

After I finished cleaning up the mess on the deck on Thursday I had the day ALL TO MYSELF. The Mister went to play golf. Hallelujah. I didn't know what to do first. Since it was a lovely, breezy day I thought I'd go play with some fiber. This is a big bin of California Red that I had dyed last summer.

I dyed it to use for the Tour but never got around to doing anything with it. I spun the fiber that I had left white instead.

I drug out the carder and all the tools on the deck and had a jolly old time. It almost felt like life before Covid. Almost.

I got four batts finished before I ran out of steam. I decided instead of my usual willy nilly throw all the colors on at once routine I would just card each color separately. The plan for this was always a thick pair of boot socks so now I can decide what I want to do with the colors while I am spinning it.

Speaking of spinning, now that I did a big living area cleanup I can find my Ladybug again so I did a little spinning. Those fall colors aren't doing it for me now but I need to get it off the wheel before the Tour.

To finish off my wonderful day ALL TO MYSELF I  made a batch of shea butter and olive oil enriched bath bombs. My feet are NOT ready for summer shoes. I need to get to work on that asap and these are a very good place to start.
