Bookish

Inktober's been over for a while but I am just getting around to clearing up the mess.

I need the table back so I can get some serious quilting projects out of the way.

While I was putting it all away I realized I had piles of stuff laying about and now I was going to add even more with all the new Inktober pieces. I can't go on like this.

I shouldn't have to. Ages ago I bought lots and lots of watercolor sketchbooks but I've rarely used them because it seems weird to be painting in a book. I need to get over that.

I used my swatch stamp and stamped an entire book so now I have to use it. I was always the kind of person who hated marking in books. I rarely even write on patterns. It just feels wrong. Now I am going back through all my paint sets and do a page with each of them just so I can train myself to be okay with using my pretty little books. You've got to start somewhere.

  1. Oh my! That is a LOT of paint swatches. Good luck on using the books. I’m the same way about writing in books. Except my Bible. Isn’t that odd?

  2. I'm a bit like you! During French class, certain exercises would be so much easier if I would just mark in my text book - but I just can't bring myself to do it!

  4. I have journals I have used because they are too nice. I need to get over that. Thanks for the inspiration.

  5. That's a good idea! It has to be a good way to keep completed or even in complete projects and you will be able to refer back to all of them easily now!
