Halfway

The month is more than half over now. That's hard to believe. March usually crawls but it's off and running this year. I've gotten this far on my calendar sampler. I thinks it's a bit odd that the Easter Bunny is in the March square but I'm not arguing with the designer. I was tempted to switch it out with a leprechaun bear but thought better of it and stuck to the pattern.

My little train is chugging away. After the C there is only the engine and the caboose left to do so I'm in pretty good shape if I hope to beat the new addition to the finish in July.

  2. I think once every four years or so, Easter falls in late March.

According to Wikiepedia: The First Council of Nicaea (325) established the date of Easter as the first Sunday after the Paschal Full Moon, the full moon that occurs on or soonest after 21 March (taken to be the date of the equinox)..

But you're right - it falls in April far more often so it seems weird to have the bunny in March. But it's looks good either way!

  3. Nice work! You inspire me to get going on a sampler I started long ago that's been stalled for a long time.

  5. You're making good progress on your stitching. I have several spring cross-stitch pieces started a couple of years ago. It might be fun to pick them up again.
