When things are crazy I put away the important projects and get out the dishcloths. These are my spring rags in progress.
I've finished some big ones and mini ones. The minis are for the pet dishes.
These basket stitch minis are soap rugs.
If you put your handmade soap on them to dry they last forever which is actually not a good thing because then you can't make more soap. This is a coconut oil/oatmeal bar that I love. I've got a big soap post coming up soon. Stay tuned.
Daddio Update: Medicare has agreed to take him on for another 57 days of paid benefits so we can buy some time before making any big decisions. That's a big relief. The house is still his to come home to-for a while longer. He is now in a rehab facility in Annapolis where we hope some healing can begin. Thanks again for your kind words. They are greatly appreciated.

That will certainly brighten things up - glad to hear there is good news on the Daddio front
ReplyDeleteI love the colors of the two cloths in the first photo. Dreamy creamy. You're smart to keep it simple when your life and brain is running the crazy train. (Yes, I'm going full poet today for no reason) small projects, easy stitches are soothing and really all best of all blood pressure medications ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm with Wandering Cat and grateful for something positive for Daddio. I hope it's the beginning of much more. Fingers crossed for more good news.
Oh I am so happy you have some time. These big moments need time and you have to feel right about the next steps. LOVE YOUR COTTON dishcloths.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are getting the Medicare benefit and praying for miracles here.
ReplyDeleteThe dish cloths are super duper cute
I had hoped that there was a way to have some time before any big decisions needed to be made. Glad that that happened. And your dishcloths are lovely! They inspire me to do some of my own.
