Big Top Wear

I ran into a major roadblock with the crazy striped sweater.


My sleeve was too small for my circular needles. Knitting around a tight circle is no fun.


Amazon came to the rescue. I ordered these doublepoints on Friday night and they were here Monday morning.

The only trouble is that I really hate knitting on big needles like these. It feels so clumsy and slow but I suppose I'll have to get over it.

This giant clown sweater needs some sleeves asap. Yowza. That thing is really crazy looking.

    I know what ya mean, I hate knitting with larger needles too! They just feel so awkward and clumsy.

    Love your crazy sweater! And I hear what you say about how awkward big dpns feel to knit with. Is that sweater for you?

    I now knit my sleeves with a super long circular (magic loop). You might prefer this to the dpn. The sweater is colorful but I really like it. I'm a big fan of the stripes too. I'm impressed that you can spin a whole sweater's worth of yarn!

    I love that sweater. And Zenitude is right - magic loop would work - I use it a lot now.
