Friday Fluff
The wheel spun cotton experiment is over. Can it be done? Yes. Should it be done? No. It's not a pleasant experience. It's very fiddly and all you get is some mighty fuggly yarn.
Those singles and that two ply cotton that I spindle spun a few years ago is so much nicer-so it's back to the spindle.
Since my now empty Ladybug deserved something better I dug this beauty out of the stash. It's Merino/Silk.
Since I don't live in the 18th century spinning should be fun-not a chore. This oughta do it.
Those colors will be a joy to slip through your fingers when you spin that! Such a beauty. The cotton is pretty--it does knit up into pretty face cloths, though.
ReplyDeleteOoooh, that is so pretty. That will definitely be fun to spin. Have I ever told you that I love your ladybug? My wheels were both Ashford Traveler's and I really like them too.
