Over the past few weeks we've had a major cold snap. The one that gave us all that ice. I was freezing in my sewing room. Freezing. I had to dress like I was going sledding. The cold gave me a headache so I didn't spend much time in there. I kept telling The Mister something was wrong with the heat vent but he kept telling me it was my fault because I had so much junk piled near it. I didn't. As you can see the heat could come out if it wanted to. To make a long story short, I pulled the vent out and low and behold.........being a new vent from when we did the floor last winter the packing stuff was still inside. No heat could get through....

I love the vent story--it sounds like me and Bill. "I told you something was wrong...!" lol
ReplyDeleteThe cold will be letting go soon for you!
It’s hard to be creative when you’re shivering and have stiff fingers. I’m glad you found the problem with the vent. Hopefully, this week will be warm in your sewing room and the Snowflake quilt will begin to cooperate.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry about the lack of heat. It's not fun to be cold. The quilt is lovely though. I think we're all too hard on ourselves. No one else will notice what we think is wrong. :-)
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
Some heat will make you all better and more cheerful!
ReplyDeleteSomething similar happened to us at our old place. Dave kept saying the vent wasn't block, it was just a crappy system... I went downstairs and found a lever on the duct... and pulled it! Instant heat!
ReplyDeleteshhhh, I love to be right. Today I was wrong. Fireman questioned the batteries I was recharging. He was right. They were NOT rechargeable and he said that they could have exploded while i had them in a charger. YIKES! Ok ok. You can be right. Sorry its been no fun, but your quilt is gorgeous
ReplyDeleteGood for you to figure the problem out yourself! Now you'll be cozy in there. My crocheting is near our pellet stove so I keep nice and warm. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
ReplyDeleteWell good for you figuring out the problem and getting heat back in your room! Stay safe.
