I've got so much confidence in finishing Lofoten in the near future that I bought her a present.
Ta da.....three Norwegian style clasps. I'm still waiting for the yarn to finish that collar but as soon as it's here it will be all go.
Speaking of Norwegian things, Arne of Arne and Carlos fame has been re-reading the Nancy Drew series that he loved as a kid. I was also a big fan back in the day. Since I am plowing through the Little House books that I just bought I went looking online to see if I could find any Nancy Drew books and I found a 5 book set for just $20 on Amazon. I couldn't resist.
Speaking of Arne and Carlos, another ball of their sock yarn also showed up in the mail....
....and I bought the pattern for their gorgeous Finnmark cowl that was offered at half price last week. The Mister thinks I've gone gaga over Arne and Carlos but sometimes I swear they are the only things getting me through this nightmare. I am not kidding....when they announced last week they were going to do a daily Easter/Spring podcast KAL like they did at Christmas I literally burst into tears of joy. Gaga is right....
All lovely things Deb! I love the clasps that you bought for your sweater. And that cowl will be gorgeous. I was another fan of the Nancy Drew books (who wasn't??). Have fun!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun - yarn, books, and a new project! I read quite a few Nancy Drew books growing up. That’s probably why mysteries are now my favorite literature genre.
ReplyDeleteMail is always fun! That's a really pretty cowl pattern
ReplyDeleteThose clasps are lovely; they will really complete the project beautifully!
ReplyDeleteNancy Dr! ew is the best - I was so happy to introduce my eldest granddaughter to them! We actually found a computer game (this is years ago) based on Nancy Drew and she still has the notebook we used to record the clues!
I know what you mean--it's like a daily visit from a knitting friend! The cowl looks great; you are going to really put the finishing touch on the Lofoten with the clasps you chose-perfect!
ReplyDeleteI am over the moon that something is getting you through this awful time. I love your clasps. My knitting has helped tremendoulsy.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful clasps!
ReplyDeleteI read every Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys book available as a child, I just loved them so much. Enjoy!
