Then at 10:30 Daughter called to say they were on their way home-already. It's only a three hour drive from the ocean so I packed up and headed home. I like to be on my way before they get home. No one needs me and all my stuff around when they are trying to unpack.
I could have used a few more hours of alone time but someone was glad to see me. I had to play toss the kitty for about an hour upon arrival.
I tried to get some work done but she wasn't having any of it.
From what I could see those hexies are going to fit very nicely onto the border that's already there. I see a lot more appliqueing in my future-as soon as Pup lets me.
I really didn't understand how the hexies were going to work, but they look fabulous with the quilt! Wow! Love that.
ReplyDeleteThe hexagon border looks so pretty.
ReplyDeletePup is gorgeous! I couldn't let my pup anywhere near a white quilt though, her paws are permanently flithy at the moment!

Aww - pup is so sweet. Burton is the same if I leave the house... when I get back he needs ALL THE LOVE!!!
ReplyDeleteThey're perfect for it....I knew they would be the minute you said you were going to use them. So pretty!! I need to learn to quilt. :-)
ReplyDeleteOH I have to comment on the matching stripey socks. LOVE THEM DEB!!! So fall and autumn ish.
ReplyDeleteTHe first socks looks like Kroy's Paton? Nice . They must wear very well because the yarn is strong it seems.
We could all use a little more solitude, I know I can. Love the quilt. Enjoy your Labor Day.
ReplyDeleteThe hexies are gorgeous as are your KAL socks. Wonderful colors in that yarn. Such a cool (cold) weekend...now humid and sticky again.
ReplyDeleteThe socks are fantastic! Good for you!
ReplyDeleteThe quilt is beyond wow-thanks for the little peaks as you work it out! The hexies are just the thing for that border!!!!
Oh your knits look beautiful! Looks like you got a lot done! Pup and kitty toss ... such a cute photo.
