I stayed in the car with the doggies but first I took a trip through the showroom to take pictures and text him what I wanted. I now see the value of smart phones.
He went in and gathered up all the heavy stuff and then we loaded it up under Pup's supervision. She was having a great time.
That is a fully loaded truck. I don't know how he got it all in there.
The weather was beautiful so camping out in the parking lot with the dogs for the afternoon was a real pleasure. I read, I knitted and the dogs and I walked. We hit a Micky D's on the way home for dinner and then unloaded it all in the living room until we get the energy to assemble it all. Good times.
Actually, it DOES sound pretty terrific. Love the socks you are working on. That's a mighty happy color!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a good day to me! And I'll bet it was a true adventure for the pups. :-)
ReplyDeleteLove your socks. And, I want to see your new furniture once assembled!!
ReplyDeleteBuying is fun; assembling, not so much. But I bet your husband is good at it -- or he would not have suggested IKEA.
ReplyDeleteThat sock yarn is so fun!
Hooray for new furniture, that is exciting. Love the stitching project from your last post.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a wonderful outing! The sock is beautiful and I can't wait to see what you bought when it is set up!
ReplyDeleteNew furniture is always fun. I love IKEA. The closest one to us is in Seattle, almost 300 miles. When Mandy lived in Portland, Oregon I always made a trip to IKEA when I visited her. I hope we get to see pictures when it's all put together.
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Betsy
Lucky you! I've got an Ikea wish-list for the bedroom, but I dont think it's going to happen any time soon.
ReplyDeleteOmg....that is the cutest picture of pup in the truck window with his little tongue sticking out!! Sounds like a totally fun adventure with new furniture to boot.
