The Mister went to play golf last week-twice, so I used the quiet time to get the backing on Daddio's quilt.
Spray basting and pins. Lots of them.
Even up on the table, this is back breaking work.
I had to raid the production team's scenery stash to find enough pins. That's a far as I went though. I'm going to put it in time out, briefly, so I can figure out the best way to quilt it. All those strips on the back are going to be bunchy so this is going to take some thinking.

Yeah, but it's gonna look so pretty when it's finished!
ReplyDeleteThis is the part of quilting that freaks me out: all the finishing. I have not figured out a good way of handling the backing and edging. But I have faith in you!
ReplyDeleteIt will come to you....it turned out so pretty!
ReplyDeleteYou are getting closer and closer to a finish! Glad you had someplace to get a bunch of pins without having to buy them.
ReplyDeleteI do fine until I get to putting on the backing and binding. Your quilt is gorgeous.
