Downsizing

Betty's been in the refrigerator since her last bread outing. I'm comfortable enough to keep her there now knowing she is easily resurrected. I don't need a large amount of starter held in suspended animation and since her big jars were taking up too much room in an already crowded space, I bought her some smaller ones.

Big difference, right? The big ones will still be used for making big batches of starter for waffles or bagels. The small one will work just fine for the amount you need for bread.

Betty wasn't the only thing downsized this week. After watching a lot of back pain videos that use exercise balls I realized I needed a smaller one for certain maneuvers. Meet Lucille. Lucille Ball.

  1. Betty seems to get some new accoutrements every week and Lucille Ball made me laugh. Thanks!

  2. I love how you name things. Lucille Ball! Ha! I also like glass jars and the old fashioned look of them. I use them a lot for everything, even yarn tails on the table by my chair. When it's full, I empty it into the trash.
    Blessings and hugs,
    Betsy

  3. Will you say a little more about Lucille Ball? What size and brand is she? I’m looking for something similar and there are so many different brands it’s hard to choose!
    Thank you! Robin (Soxieknitter)
