Rainy Days and Mondays
Ian didn't just bring us days and days of rain, it brought me a huge sinus headache. The only thing I planned on doing yesterday besides laying on the couch was digging out Dad's old box of Halloween material to see if I had enough leftover fabric for some placemats.
He had used it for a paper piecing project that he had turned into a table runner.
I had forgotten all about it until I saw the box during a stash room cleanup not long ago.
What he had in the box were 6 packs of charm squares and lots of yardage. I had no idea he had so much. It was more than enough for a lap quilt AND some placemats. Excited by this I got to work, headache be darned
Before I knew it I had a pile of Disappearing Nine Patch blocks.
I made plenty of these little quilts for the babies in the family and now it's my turn. It might not be done by Halloween but I'm going to have fun working on it until then.
That is a really nice stash of Halloween fabric. I'm glad you found something fun to work on to help cope with the rain and the headache. Lots of fabric to make the placemats and lap quilt. I'll bet you have it done in plenty of time for halloween.
