How it ended. 

Over the past few years we've been working our way from room to room replacing all the old wood molding with white. It was finally the hallway's turn. It was our staging area for all the bookshelves and cabinets during the big remodel so it was the last area to go. We'll be getting out the paint as soon as we can open the windows. They say it might be this week but I'll believe it when I see it.
