Hexie Fever

 

Before all the stuff hit the fan around here I was making hexie flowers for the border of my paper pieced table runner. I had just bought this new polyester thread and I have to say now that I've had a chance to use it, it makes a world of difference.



All those tiny whip stitches practically disappear. It's certainly a game changer. 



It almost makes me want to pick up Dear Jane again. I loved working on it but I hated how my stitches looked. After things get back to normal around here I just may give it another try with the new thread. I know I'll never finish the whole thing but it would be nice to make something out of it.

    Sometimes, the tools make a big difference! Is it a 60wt thread? Glad you found a successful solution!

    Oh I do love those little flowers. That's an interesting spool of thread. I don't think I've seen one like it before.
