The Ups and Downs

 

Yesterday was no fun. 




It was molding day. I HATE putting down molding. All I do is stand around and listen to The Mister throw one conniption fit after the other when things go badly-as they always do.



The worst part is when he hands me the hammer and tells me to put in a nail while he holds something down. I've never quite developed the knack.

    It's like when they say, "This will only take half an hour" and it's more like 5-6 hours! Something always, always goes wrong when we do it ourselves. That's a lot of the reason we hired the bathrooms done, so it would be finished in a reasonable time. Plus the electricity in this house is weird. We had the electrician out three times!
    The baseboard looks good to me.

    I am dreading that day. We've never done it, and we have lots to do here. I\m hoping I can bamboozle Dad into doing it with Dave when the time comes... then I can run off and knit or sew or something

    Since I have a few more pieces of baseboard that still needs to go down ---I FEEL your pain! Just keep going--you will be done soon!

    That doesn't sound like a fun way to spend the day! I am always suspicious when anyone says, "This won't take long."

    I hate homeowner projects with the spouse. They always end in divorce fantasies. LOL Looks like y'all are doing a fine job of the molding though.
