....we were finished. At almost exactly 12:00 noon we put in the last stinking plank. We are battered and bruised but elated that for the most part the really hard work in the kitchen is finally done.
Kitchen or no kitchen, I wasn't letting another Mardi Gras get away. Laissez le bon temps rouler and all that. Everything is better covered in a pile of powdered sugar.
Hip, Hip, Hooray! Hip, Hip, Hooray!

I know how excited you both must be to have all of these huge jobs done and dusted. I can't wait to see all of the "after" photos.
Would you believe I've never had a beignet? Someday I'm going to have to go to New Orleans and go to that famous restaurant that makes them.
I am SO happy that you have the kitchen pretty much done.
Blessings,
Betsy
