That's it for now. I used up every single bit of soap making stuff I had here over the past two weeks.
As I ran out of stuff I had to keep re-formulating the recipe. I even had to send The Mister to the drug store for some castor oil. Thank goodness people still drink that stuff. I am not sure why but I am glad they do. I always seem to be running out of it and it takes forever to get here from the soap supply company.
This last big batch is Twisted Violet which smells like those little violet candies you can buy at Paper Source. I love them. This makes six batches of 14 bars each which is......a heck of a lot of soap and that is NOT including the 14 bars that didn't get enough lye. If it all cures nicely there just may be a giveaway in late June. Stay tuned.
These are some beautiful bars of soap! Incredible batches you have put out lately!!
ReplyDeleteOoh! I love those purple swoops and swirls. I just had someone tell me that they can't stand the smell of lavender. How crazy is that? I have lavender bath spray that I made from essential oils. Lavender candles and lavender plug-ins. The last one was really needed when I got here because a house that has been closed up for 2 years with no one living in it smells really funky. :-) It's much better now.
ReplyDeleteI hope your Thursday is full of fun things Debbie.
Blessings,
Betsy
So pretty! Looks like a Rorschach test! LOL
ReplyDeleteThose are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteAre you done with soap-making? Are you trying to use up all your supplies?
Beautiful. I actually opened up my very last bar of your soap the other day. It's taken me a long time to get through it!
ReplyDeleteI always marvel at the designs inside the soap! It must be a delight to make the first slice of each batch.
ReplyDeleteOhhhhh. Make us earn a soap! Make us surprise you with a soap sized something mailed to you!!
